Rio Caribe is a Trinitario type bean, long a stalwart of Venezuela’s cacao production. It is a large, plump bean with high aroma and fruity-acid flavors and subtle earthy tones. Indeed, an ideal cross between the delicate criollo types of Western Venezuela and the robust Forasteros of the Amazon basin of which Venezuela is also a part. A true classic.
